I spent a quiet Saturday afternoon listening to hymns sung acapella (and in four part harmony!) streaming from my computer.
Both children napping, beautiful blue sky, tall(-er and taller everyday) evergreen trees out my window waving in the breeze.
Windows open, bringing in the 77*F and 35% humidity air on a pleasant breeze.
I'm not sure when I have spent such a peaceful hour or two.
The weather helped. Bringing the outdoors in helped. Having made a big decision about Little Guy's speech needs helped.
But hymns! HYMNS are so lovely!
Anyone who knew me in my single days knows I always had peaceful instrumental hymns playing in the background. When you share space with more people, including children, and including one who needs less background noise, that goes out the window.
Today has been a respite!
