Three and a half hours

On January 1st, I emailed our audiologist that BK's left hearing aid (HA) wasn't charging. We tried another charger. The problem seemed solved.

... Until the last week of January when he stopped wearing it because it wasn't charging.  Long story short, the HA got shipped to the pediatric hearing clinic (70 miles away) and returned to the manufacturer.  It wasn't ready before we left for Florida.

After we returned, BK put it in his ear, and immediately pulled it out. There was an echo and it was too loud.

We unsuccessfully tried a remote appointment to pair the app on my phone with the computer in the audiologist's office.  We encountered several technological difficulties.

And, so this morning, after two months of lots of "What?"s and "Can you turn that up?", March 6th found BK & I leaving home at 7.15 (15 minutes earlier than normal), going 70 miles, and spending 45 minutes in the audiologist's office reprogramming the left HA.

After a stop by Chick-fil-A drive through and dropping him off at school, I pulled in our garage at 10.45.

Three and a half hours. 140 miles.  A working hearing aid (my travel case above is empty- hooray!).  Old wires & domes to keep in case we need them (they were replaced with new technology). And two new cases of wax remover sticks (one for school & one for home).  Woo-hoo!

And mom took a nap!!
