When I was a child, our family attended a special service at a church in another city. The only thing I remember is that the preacher was blind, but that didn't stop him for speaking God's Word, for he had a lot of God's Word hidden in his heart.
Recently I found this gem on my bookshelf. His Word in my Heart, by Janet Pope. Janet has memorized more than 140 chapters of God's Word, including fourteen New Testament books. Her book has practical tips for memorizing as well as for long-term review of lengthy passages, in addition to lots of testimonies to the power of knowing God's Word in this way.
