Happy New Year!

How do two couples with young kiddos celebrate New Year's?!

First, one couple sends the toddlers to Grandma's.

Then, while the one-year-old naps, one of the mommas throws together some appetizers.

You get together at 5.30 because 7 PM is probably your one-year-old's limit.

But, he is intrigued by the two-month-old, not to mention the different house to explore.

And so you sit around munching & chatting and chatting & munching until 10 PM, covering such topics as self-feeding, potty training, farm expenses, depreciation, New Year's resolutions, God's goodness & help, and the wonder that a year ago neither couple knew they would have a newborn in 2014!

Based on the fact that there wasn't much food left, you might be interested in these recipes.  Or maybe the depletion of food was merely a sign of being tired and enjoying eating junk food. :)

Spinach Dip (with carrots & crackers)
Taffy Dip (with apple slices)
