We were later than we planned. Then we decided to stop and eat before going to the garden center. Not having much time, we went to McDonald's, thinking "fast food." But our conversation delayed us.
When we eventually reached the garden center, we knew there wasn't much time, because it closes at 7 PM.
Sure enough, a few minutes later I heard "Auld Lang Syne," the national symbol that it's almost store closing time, so "please make your way to the cash registers."
