Upon returning from the wardrobe, #2

Fifteen years ago, a co-worker returning to the U.S.A. had a layover in an airport somewhere on American soil. While there, he purchased a drink from a vending machine. Once he had emptied the can, he held onto it, and searched the airport ~ in vain ~ for a recycling receptacle. Finally he asked an airport employee where he was supposed to dispose of his can. The answer, as you can imagine, delivered with a "Duh!" attitude, was, "In a trash can."

Another co-worker, after three years in Japan, flew to her hometown, and was taken to her parents' home. As she opened her parents' front door, and walked into the living room, various relatives laughed and pointed. She had unconsciously slipped her feet out of her shoes on the front porch, and walked into the house in her sock feet.
