In my rush out the door, I slip on a pair of shoes.
And many times, when I get to where I am going, I look down, and think, "Oops! These shoes don't match."
In Japan, it's not as big of a deal, because often when I get to where I'm going, I take my shoes off when I enter the building.
I cannot cover my mistake so conveniently here in America.
