Bath time is both dreaded and loved in our home. One child (the older one) finds baths calming, and it's often an activity for a rainy day or to keep him occupied and content while the other is napping (well, that phrase should be in past tense!). The other child has only recently started enjoying playing in the bath. But the actual bathing & shampooing part is still rather traumatic for all involved.
We've tried lots of different bath toys over the years. Rubber duckies got thrown out due to mold. Foam A-B-C's were fun, but a pain to pick up & store.
A Green Toy brand float plane, found for $1 at a garage sale 5+ years ago is still a favorite! Boon building bath pipes never lose their appeal! In fact if I were to give bath toys to a child, I would give any of the Boon brand toys (water gears, bath pipes, etc.).
Squigz work well in the bath, too. And little creatures from Toobs do, also. (Lately LG has been playing in the bath with a Toobs pack of boats I picked up at the consignment store.)
O Ball has some great toys that mostly do not have holes
for mold to grow. We love this set which is part of the now
discontinued O Ball Grasp and Splash Gift Set.
What bath toys make bath time fun at your house?
