The church service is shorter, but the sermon FEELS longer, because I don’t have to concentrate and multi-task (i.e., do language study) while listening to it.
No one brings their hymnals.
Everyone wears shoes.
There is no basket of slippers by the entrance.
There is a nursery available.
There's no open announcement time after the benediction.
Everyone leaves after the benediction.
The offering is before the sermon.
Although I'm still a bit distracted by the differences, because it is in my heart language, snatches of hymns, statements by the worship leader or excerpts from the sermon powerfully touch my heart ... even in my distracted state.
