My re-entry team

Neil Pirolo has provided two great resources for the Church in general in his books, Serving as Senders, and The Re-entry Team.

One of his premises is that sending missionaries implies a commitment to take care of them when they return.

My re-entry team has included people too numerous to count.

It begins and ends with all of you who have been and are praying ... and with the Lord who is answering your prayers,

and also includes:

• the lady who visited apartment complexes in order to find one suitable,

• the church which offered the use of a car,

• the people who loaned an apartment-full of furniture for my use this year,

• the people who moved that furniture in (most of whom I never saw, as it was here when I arrived),

• those who have loaned lamps, sheets, towels, dishes, and silverware,

• the friend who extended her vacation by one day in order to pick me up at the airport,

• the ladies who prepared my kitchen and put down shelf liner (a job that would not have been high priority for a jet-lagged person),

• the man who volunteered to hang my curtain rods, and

• those who have invited me to get together for coffee or lunch or a night's stay in their home in Oregon, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, etc.
