Clerk at Subway: Would you like cheese on your sandwich?
J: Yes, please.
(I expected that I had fully answered her question.)
(The clerk was expecting me to say more.)
Pause.
Clerk: What kind?
J: (taken aback) Oh, I have a choice?
There were five or six types of cheese to choose from. Thankfully the kids' meal I ordered only had two choices of bread, instead of the normal six choices.
