The changing of the wallet

I removed my Japanese coins, and replaced them with American coins (leftover from my last U.S. visit) which I had carried in a separate change purse.

I replaced my Mami Mart point card with my Kroger discount card.

I pulled my Tennessee Driver’s License from a far-in-the-back compartment of my wallet, and exchanged it with my Japanese Driver’s License in the front-and-center windowed card slot.

I took out my Japan Rail train pass debit card, and gleefully inserted my library cards (emphasis on the plural form of “card”)!

I withdrew my Oyumino Clinic patient card which I had used almost as frequently as my Mami Mart card, and prayed that the lack of patient cards in the U.S.A. will be symbolic of fewer patient visits.
