March 23 (13 hours ahead of USA EDST)
If you pray ...
We want to make the most of this last day here, before we leave for the airport at 3 PM. Good "good-byes" are important anywhere, but especially in Japan. Typically, Japanese friends gather at one of the local church buildings to say, "Good-bye" and pray before guests leave for the airport.
Some of our friends may visit us in the States. Even if we visit Japan again in the future, we probably won't see everyone we saw on this trip. God can use that desire in our friends' hearts to see us again, to help them be motivated to learn about heaven.
________
And now the fun begins! We will spend 14 hours traveling and then arrive at our local airport 20 minutes before we took off. :)
Thankfully the Tokyo to Chicago leg is only 12 hours.
Thanks for sharing this journey with us.

Loved this post, especially the end which I ALWAYS need to here. Thank you for writing about all of this. It is so hard to be so far away and I knew everyone (I think) who you mentioned...even one of the nursing mommies who can't go up. Thanks J. Looking forward to the full update. Love, M
