Invitation

In the mail drop in my front door the other day I received a tri-fold tract from a cult. Written in Japanese, the title is, "Wouldn't you like to know more about the Bible?" My attention was drawn to the die-cut memo paper sticking out of the tract.

On a beautiful piece of Hallmark note paper, someone had hand-written out 2 Timothy 3.16 and added, "Please, get to know the Bible."

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

This cult is teaching Scripture in a distorted way and for other purposes. Their adherents are active in my neighborhood, visiting multiple times a month.

We, too, long for many to read and study the Word of God. We pray, though, that it will be for the purpose of knowing the Truth, becoming a man or woman of God, and then walking in the works He has prepared for them.

...that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
