Year in review - 2007 - 偽

Every year the Japanese Kanji Proficiency Society announces the "kanji of the year." The kanji voted to best describe 2007 was:
meaning deception. The news in 2007 was full of a series of scandals, in which information reported as true was indeed false.

Funny how we as a society rebel against truth claims ... until a food manufacturer's "best by" date on the food in our pantry is not true, or the retirement agency's claims about the money in our account is not true.

The claims of Christ are often perceived as being restrictive.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
But they are actually full of life.

May 2009 be the year when many find Truth and Life.
