Summer Vacation ~ Day 80

Sunday, August 10

Jim was filling in for his brother (keeping lots of pigs alive), so we ended up driving separately to church.

After being in WI July 13, home sick July 20, on vacation July 27, late to church & in a rush to leave afterward on August 3, it was good to have conversations after church today! Not to mention, to be part of our Adult Bible Fellowship and to worship with our church body!

Slow afternoon. BK & Jim golfed.

Jim went back to the farm to feed pigs. LM took a bath & went to bed (we're trying to get on our school schedule!).

Jim, BK, and I stayed up late (10 PM for me - ha!) discussing all things middle school - his class schedule, locker combinations, morning routine, how the bus works to & from our elementary school, how the bus works on days he rides it to Grandpa's or the farm in the afternoon, lunch money, problem solving potential issues, and making sure he either has on hand or I have ordered everything he needs (shoes, hoodies, pants, and the ubiquitous pjs for dress up days!).  Middle school is getting real!

(His first day of middle school is the day this is being published, so if you are a praying person, please pray for this transition.)
